silver wedding tiaras

I was asked by very dearest friends to make their orthodox wedding tiaras for their ceremony and it was such a privilege and a challenge at the same time to make something that large out of silver.

as it was a greek wedding on the Peloponnese, I felt that the olive branch would be a nice iconic element complimenting their greek heritage. the tiaras are made out of rectangular silver wire that has been hammered to add texture and the little three - leaf olive branches are made out of round silver wire, filled with pearl white resin.

I also bought this beautiful cinnamon box out of cinnamon bark at an East London Market to hold the tiaras in and created the bride and groom’s initials in greek letters out of silver wire as a final touch.
